ACCCIM SEMINAR ON CORPORATE CRIMINAL LIABILITY FOR CORRUPTION (SECTION 17A MACC ACT)
The enforcement of Section 17A of the MACC Act 2009 will be effective from June 2020. Under the new provision, a commercial organisation could be prosecuted if a person associated with the organisation commits a corrupt act.
In view of this, ACCCIM will be organising the ACCCIM Seminar on Corporate Criminal Liability for Corruption (Section 17A MACC Act) on 1st November 2019 to introduce the Corporate Liability Provision and its implications to Directors, Partners and Management of Commercial Organisations so as to create awareness. The Seminar is co-organised by The Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor (KLSCCCI) and Klang Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCCI).
YB Datuk Liew Vui Keong, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law) is the Guest of Honour and will deliver a keynote address. Tan Sri Datuk Ter Leong Yap, President of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) cum President of ACCCIM and KLSCCCI will deliver a speech. Seminar details are as follows:
