We are pleased to inform that a Briefing to introduce and provide insights of SIRIM-Fraunhofer Programme to all members of KLSCCCI will be held on 8^th August 2019 (Thursday), from 2.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. at WTC Conference Room of KLSCCCI, Level 7 of Wisma Chinese Chamber. This programme is aimed to assist manufacturing companies to improve quality of products, develop high-value derivative products, and boost industrial productivity and competitiveness by incorporating technology application and innovative ideas.

SIRIM-Fraunhofer Programme is initiated by SIRIM collaborating with Fraunhofer Institute, a prominent technology institute and applied research organisation in Germany tie-up to upgrade local SMEs and develop manufacturing sectors. Thus, a total of RM200 million budget has been allocated for eligible SMEs to apply. SIRIM will subsidize 80% of the project cost while company will have to bear 20% of the project cost only.

This programme encompasses a technology audit that helps manufacturing SMEs to understand their strengths and weaknesses, as well as potential areas for improvement. The audit outcome will help manufacturing SMEs to set up action plans to enhance productivity and technology management capabilities to ultimately move up the value chain.

All members of KLSCCCI especially manufacturers (company has been in operation for at least two years) are cordially invited and encouraged to participate in the SIRIM-Fraunhofer Programme Briefing. Admission fee for member is chargeable at RM30 per person, non-member is chargeable at RM50 per person. We enclose herewith the registration form and related information for your reference.
