Appeal for Donation to KLSCCCI Welfare Fund
As part of our social obligation to the community, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor (KLSCCCI) is endeavoured to assist the underprivileged. In this regard, it has become a yearly tradition for KLSCCCI to donate to shortlisted welfare and charitable organisations, as well as to distribute ‘ang pau’ and ‘duit raya’ to old folks’ homes and orphanages in conjunction with the celebration of Lunar New Year and Hari Raya Aidilfitri. KLSCCCI has also timely assisted the needy families in conjunction with the festival celebrations. KLSCCCI organises a fund raising campaign every year to raise approximately RM150,000 to carry out the charitable and contribution activities.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, KLSCCCI has initiated various programmes supporting the society to overcome difficulties caused by the pandemic. KLSCCCI purchased and donated the urgently needed medical equipment to support the healthcare system. KLSCCCI also carried out food aid programme to assist individuals and families who are in need, irrespective of their ethnic background.
KLSCCCI contributed cash vouchers to deserving victims from all races, in the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor areas through the flood relief programme. KLSCCCI allocated also budget for the purchase of cleaning equipment and tools, in support of the cleaning-up works in the flood affected areas.
We would like to seek generous support from KLSCCCI’s members by donating to the Welfare Fund, to promote the spirit of volunteerism and social responsibility together as well as to enhance the caring society and national unity.
Crossed cheque should be made payable to “KLSCCCI” [Maybank account number: 0140 1133 0950]. Kindly send the donation cheque or bank-in slip/transaction record as well as the reply slip () to Secretariat of KLSCCCI to facilitate receipt arrangements. KLSCCCI will publish the donors list in its E-Bulletin and Annual Report. As KLSCCCI is a non-profit organisation and not a charitable organisation, hence the said donation is not entitled for tax exemption.
