The Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor (KLSCCCI) (Finance & Capital Market Committee) will be organising an Investor Matching programme in the year 2022 for KLSCCCI member companies. The Investor Matching Programme will be held via Zoom virtual meeting platform, through one-on-one sessions between a KLSCCCI member company (“Member”) and a potential investor, for a maximum time of 30 minutes each.

The objectives of the Investor Matching Programme are as follows:

(i)     To introduce potential Members to an alternative source of equity capital raising from private investors, in addition to Bursa Malaysia listing.

(ii)    To help Members raise additional equity capital from private investors, in order to grow and expand Members’ businesses to the next level.

(iii)   To provide business networking opportunities for Members to support their expansion plans, both locally and internationally.

(iv)   To provide mentorship and guidance for Members who would like to prepare their companies for business expansion and / or listing on stock exchange.

The panel of investors will comprise professionals / individuals from established venture capital, private equity firms, family offices and owners of successful businesses. These investors are very experienced in helping businesses grow and have also supported other businesses in their listing journey on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.

If you are interested to participate in this Investor Matching Programme, we seek your kind assistance to register by filling up the enclosed form on the next page and by signing, acknowledging and accepting the terms, conditions and contents of this letter. The initial session is limited to only thirty (30) identified and selected companies, and the date / time will be advised at a later stage.

In addition, the criteria for the applicant / Member to participate in this programme are:

(i)      Minimum equity capital amount to be requested is RM3,000,000.00 (Ringgit Malaysia Three Million).

(ii)     Must be a company incorporated in Malaysia with annual audited financial statements.

(iii)    Minimum annual revenue of RM5,000,000.00 (Ringgit Malaysia Five Million) or annual profit after tax of RM500,000.00 (Ringgit Malaysia Five Hundred Thousand).

(iv)   Open to share information about your company with the investor, to enable them to progress with investing into your company.

(v)    Must be a member of KLSCCCI.

Please note that the KLSCCCI is merely a facilitator for this event. Any follow up sessions for the investment will be directly between the Member and the prospective investor. KLSCCCI is not acting as an advisor or agent to any person or company, and Members / investors are advised to make their own independent assessment including any due diligence to be conducted on the potential Member(s) / investors.  Member(s) / investors shall seek their own independent legal, financial, corporate finance and / or taxation advice in relation to any investment to be made by the potential investor(s) in the Member company. KLSCCCI makes no representation of whatsoever nature with regard to the Member(s) or the Investor(s) and KLSCCCI shall owe no duty of care or liability to the Member(s) or the Investor(s). The investors reserve the right not to proceed with the investment if the applicant / Member does not meet the investor’s criteria.

The Member(s) and the Investor(s) covenant and undertake that the investment exercise shall not infringe any prevailing laws, Statutes, Acts of parliament currently in force or to be enforced.

Further, KLSCCCI reserves the right to accept and / or reject any application received from the applicant / Member to participate without providing any reason or cause of whatsoever, and KLSCCCI shall not be held responsible for any damages, claims, costs or losses arising from such non-acceptance or rejection of the application. You hereby agree to indemnify and hold KLSCCCI harmless against such damages, claims, costs or losses.

You hereby give your consent to KLSCCCI to:

•  Disclose your Personal Data to the relevant governmental authorities or third parties where required by law or for legal purposes.

For the avoidance of doubt, Personal Data includes all data defined within the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 including all data you had disclosed to KLSCCCI in this Form.
