Following the announcement in the Budget 2020, Minister of Finance, YB Tuan Lim Guan Eng officially announced on 17th February 2020 that the Government will provide a 50% matching grant of up to RM5,000 per company for the subscription of the electronic Point Of Sale systems (e-POS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), electronic payroll system, etc. This matching grant will be worth RM500 million over five years, limited to the first 100,000 SMEs applying to upgrade their systems.

Members of KLSCCCI are urged to take note of this grant. SMEs can submit applications to the Bank Simpanan Nasional and SME Bank from now, and companies which are interested in joining the lineup of technology solution providers for SMEs can register with the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation () before 31st March 2020.
